I suppose it's about time.

Hello friends & family!!!

I finally got up the nerve to try and get this blogging thing under way. Here are some pics of the munchkins and one of the many parks that are close by. The kids seem to be eating it up.We have so many places to explore! We went down to Galveston and took the ferry across to Bolivar peninsula. You can drive and drive with water on both sides. There are two water parks right there in Galveston. Moody Gardens & Schlitterbaun which is a year round water park ,a huge section being indoors. I don't know how to put links in yet but I will try later. You should check them out though. Way cool!!!

Rachie is lovin her job as far as I can tell. But then again who really loves work. I, on the other hand, can't wait to get my butt out of the house and get cookin. Don't get me wrong, I love watching my kids but you guys know me, I like to get physical.( Going fishing with the kids is a big plus though.) I MISS YOU GUYS!! can't wait for you guys to check out the area."HINT HINT" I will throw in some pics of Kemah next time.

Mowing is a different story down here. The grass is actually alive. It will grow 8" in one week if you let it. So it's a manditory twice a week thing for me. Here you get twice the workout, try mowing in a sauna. I don't think I spelled that right. But you feel great when you're done. Soaked from head to foot. I think I lose 5 pounds every time.

Hunter has caught 3 toads, 1 tree frog, 1 big ass dragon fly, 1 ugly spider, 1 red wasp, and I finally snagged a baby Gecko. We have one tree frog that loves our back door at night,(big window = frog buffet.)

The kids loved the crawfish boil. They got to pick out all 5 pounds of live mudbugs one by one. They made friends with some of them before they met their doom. YUM YUM. If I want really fresh shrimp I can hit one of the many fish markets or bait shops and get them still alive! Crab is the same way but I can catch them for free. So much sun so much fun!! Even though we have had over 9" of rain in July alone, over 20" so far this year. It's so flippin GREEN!!! For a change. We love it. The rain only lasts for an hour or two a day and then the sun lets you know who is boss.

Well I have so many new kick ass recipes to share with you guys. I will try to figure out a good way to post them. ( thank you little brother for the ins. help just now.) Sorry for the rambling but I have so much to say & I am so not an english major. I am looking forward to hearing from all of y'all, and will start talking more. Life is beautiful here. We couldn't be happier and can't wait to share it with y'all!
